Felt Monsters
Yet another snow day here in the North East. Yuck! The kids are home and everyone is restless. So I took to pinterest. All of those craft projects that you pin and think - I can do that - but never do. I had to share this one because we actually did it and it was not only adorable, but so much fun. This is the actual pin here. It is a felt monster. The pin links you to this blog it's always autumn. The blog is amazing and the step by step instructions and patterns are so user friendly.
My little guy is 8 so he made his monster on his own with a bit of guidance. If you have smaller ones the sewing and cutting will be up to you, but they can have fun designing their monster on paper before you begin. We also sewed ours on the sewing machine, but if you do not have a sewing machine you can sew it by hand or even use fabric glue and make it a no-sew project.
Step 1 - Go to this fabulous blog it's always autumn and print out the pdf pattern and instructions.
Step 2 - Cut out your monster, body parts, and accessories and lay them out.
Step 3 - Sew - I was so proud of how well he did on his first try at the sewing machine.
This step can be skipped if you use fabric glue.
Step 4 - Stuff your little monster with poly-fill and then hand sew them closed.
As you can see I had to make one too. I couldn't let him have all the fun.
