Shelter Island & Free Stuff

We took an adventure this week.  We went to a place we had never been before.  Got in the car and just started to drive.  Have you ever done that?  We went to Shelter Island.  A small island that you can only access by ferry.  It is located in the middle of Long Island, NY. 

There were many things we did/saw that we would have to do again.  Paddle Boarding, Shuffleboard, ... and then the things that we would change.  I will not take that long drive again I will take the ferry to Long Island.  But that drive did pay off a little bit.  If we had taken the ferry we would not have stopped at a Winery in Norfalk and had a wine tasting.  We would have not come across the Pottery Barn/ Pottery Barn Kids outlet and I would not have found this on the side of the road with a "Free" sign attached to it.

Some times long drives payoff.  Either way it was a fun mini get away that made for great memories.
